PLEASE KEEP A SHARP BLADE ON IT! This helps extend the life of the machine.  If the wood smokes or burns when you run it through, it probably needs a new blade.

All-purpose blades can be purchased at any hardware store for about $20-$30. Purchase a 10" diameter blade with an 5/8" bore (arbor size). Click to see an example.

Do not use blades made of electrically non-conductive material (abrasive blades, blades with plastic hubs, etc.)

The SawStop Brake will engage if ANY conductive material comes in contact with the blade (a hand, wet wood, nails, etc.),. If the brake is engaged while under your care, you will be charged $95 for a replacement brake. Please be extra careful with your materials AND your body!
